I'm not a traditional attorney, as you might have read in a different section of this website, professionally I only wear suits for a hearing at court. My daughters are graduating high school in May of 2025, which is a significant and memorable moment in life, but also the deadline on an opportunity for me as a parent. My wife works from home. In December 2024, I no longer wanted to be tied to a desk at an office. Practicing probate law has made me recognize the value of time and life. I currently practice law out of my home. I'm very good at what I do and have the utmost confidence that I would be able to provide the highest level of service to all of my client no matter where I was. I truly believe that the value of the service I provide is in my experience and knowledge, not in how big of a conference room I have or how many mints and pens are on the conference table. I will visit a client in-home or any other location that's convenient for my client; I always have even when I had multiple offices.
I've realized, because of my experience as a Managing Attorney reviewing firm costs/expenses, that I can save those costs and pass it on to my client, while providing a more personalized service. Covid enlightened me in a lot of ways, part of that was the epiphany that being a good attorney is not about fancy offices, it's about a personal connection. When a person feels the need to make an appointment with an attorney, there's usually a huge life happening that they need help navigating through; typically, it's not for anything good, it's seeking help for a confusing and stressful situation. My personal experiences have helped develop my opinion that people have evolved to seek sustenance over puffery.
